2011 So Far...

This year is just passing by so quickly. I just realized I have posted anything since last July. It's been pretty busy with the kids, work, and school (for me and the kids).

Here's a montage of the final events of 2010 . . .and the beginnings of 2011.

Rhianna and Dylan yukking it up. Check out Rhi's awesome glasses.

At Julia's birthday party in Seattle, Julia and her friends hamming it up.

We take the kids to the drive-in the weekend before the 4th of July every year. Part of the reason is the awesome playground for the kids to play while they wait for it to get dark. Although...the older kids are getting too big to care about that.

Dylan writing his name before his 4th birthday. Close. Really close.

Rachel and her BFF's. Missing a couple, but it's a sweet pic from Rachel's birthday party in 2011 when she turned 12. *sniff* Just one year away from the big 1-3.

Sisterly love.

Rhi turned seventeen October 2010 and we celebrated in style...carrot cake. Who doesn't like carrot cake?

My Christmas decorations were augmented by an aptly placed carpenter tool. As you can see, it blends right in.

Don't get your knickers in a twist. It's carbonated lemonade. Another photo from Rhi's last birthday as a minor. I am not old enough to have an adult for a child. Right? Right??!!!

Rhi and her rockin' rockabilly boyfriend, Jack. Such a cute couple.

Sam gleefully being attacked by Dylan. Those too are a hoot.

Rach and her spec-TACULAR purple jacket picked out especially by her mother. It was a hit.

My cute Dylan and Rachel.

I think Rhi took this one, but I thought it was super cute.

Halloween was interesting this last year: Dylan wouldn't put on a costume, Rhianna was hanging out with her high school friends NOT trick-or-treating, and Rachel wanted to go out with her friends. It was a little weird without all the kids. This is our handiwork. Two carved pumpkins, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, and some hot cocoa.

Our Alaskan fishermen hangin' at Rachel's b-day.

Dylan: 1   Rubik's Cube: 0
I'm still finding pieces of this cube all over the house.

This is a glimpse of the last however many months. The older my kids get, the faster it seems to fly. Right now, my Dylan is giving me a tutorial on how to make chocolate milk so I can provide him with some. I guess I better attend to getting him something before he makes it himself.
