Grandma Joann was always full of laughter and compliments. In fact, she used to laugh whenever she and I talked - so, I would try to tell more jokes because there was nothing more fun than making her laugh. And, yes, if I called at an inconvenient time (like in the middle of a ball game...football game...on her way to yoga) she would just hang up on me. But, never without telling me that she loved me first.
She loved her games - our family loves Hot Dice, in fact. We play it often, with her signature enthusiasm. In fact, we also make up rules when we forget what they are and can't ask Uncle Roger. But, I think the best thing about her was how much she loved every single one of us in her family. I'm grateful to her because she gave me such an awesome family.
Also, I would like to add that the last time I saw her...
She distinctly told me that I was her favorite. ;)
