Leavenworth

Leavenworth is really, really beautiful! We were expecting more snow than we encountered, but that did not really diminish how pretty it was lit up with all the Christmas lights you can possibly imagine! We found that sausages, sauerkraut and mustard was pretty standard fare. I think the most interesting factoid was that the Bavarian (it is modeled after a Bavarian village) are actually German red-necks. (According to a waitress whose uniform was very Bavarian-esque.)

Being in Leavenworth late in the evening was fun. Cold and fun.

This is Rudolph. He is not Bavarian...or even in Leavenworth, but all the same. Cute, huh?

This is Dylan wearing about nine layers of clothes. To those of you who know him well, you understand the Herculean effort made by his father to not only get him in the clothes, but to also walk in them. And go outside. But, in the end, it was so cold he was okay with wearing the coat, the hat, the boots, the mittens and even the long johns.

Byran, my mom, Rhianna, Sam and Dylan in front.

The photograph quality isn't the greatest, unfortunately. But, I loved this. So pretty!

So many lights! It was stunning!
